Sponsored by the Chinese-American Biopharmaceutical Society (CABS) and Morrison & Forester LLP, the "Sino-US Biopharmaceutical International Innovation Forum" was grandly held in the "Hanhai Sino-US Business Innovation Center" situated in Beijing on April 23, which was attended bythe executives fromthe Chinese-American Biopharmaceutical Society, the Biology Center of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Zhongguancun Life Sciences Park, Morrison & Foerster LLP, China Pharmaceutical Industry Research and Development Association,Founder Pharmaceutical Research Institute, U.S. Biocytogen Biotechnology, Staidson Bio-pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., etc. as well as domestic and foreign experts and media.
The Forum was divided into two special areas, the morning one was for the Chinese-American Biopharmaceutical Society (CABS) and Morrison & Forester, in the form of round-table forum, while the afternoon one was for Morrison & Forester special seminar which was made keynote speeches by five guests. The one-day Forum centered on two themes as "International Innovation of Life Sciences and Biotechnology Industries & Focusing on China's Life Sciences and Biotechnology Industries", carry out in-depth dialogues in respect of such hot issues as "Global intellectual property strategy of life sciences companies, trade secret litigation, post-grant procedures, biopharmaceutical investment model as well as intellectual property application and innovation", etc., as well as made in-depth discussions into biopharmaceutical industry innovation and new win-win cooperation models under the circumstance of changes in global life sciences and biotechnology.
The changes in the global biotechnology is triggered under the pushing of the new round of life sciences and bio-technology industry transfer, which to has brought both many opportunities and new challenges to China. The timely holding of this Forum not only provides a good platform for exchanges and cooperation in terms of global life sciences, biotechnology research and development as well as technological exchanges, but also has a very strong practical significance in promoting the international development of life sciences and bio-technology and in enhancing and intensifying biopharmaceutical research, development, innovation and cooperation as well as pharmaceutical win-win development.
