Former Canadian Prime Minister Chretien Met with Chairman Wang Hanguang

On September 26, Chairman Wang Hanguang was invited to attend a welcome reception organized by the former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien. At the banquet, Jean Chretien, the former Canadian Prime Minister, Martin Cauchon, the former Canadian Minister of Justice, and Pan Keli, Minister-Counsellor respectively made keynote speeches on the recent economic and political developments in Canada as well as Sino-Canada investments and cooperation, and also made in-depth discussions with the participating politicians and businessmen on the matters relating to Sino-Canada investments and cooperation.

During the meeting, Chairman Wang Hanguang made a detailed description on the international development of Hanhai and the strategic policies inCanadato the guests. Mr. Jean Chretien listened to the report from Chairman Wang Hanguang about the investment progress inCanadacarefully, and recognized and praised the international development of Hanhai highly. Mr. Jean Chretien pointed out that the investment inCanadaby Hanhai was a great cause that would benefit local economy and win strong support from the political circles ofCanada.

After the meeting, Chairman Wang Hanguang presented his calligraphy works entitled "Respecting for the Nature and Loving People Around" to Mr. Chretien and posed for pictures. AndMr. Chretien appreciated the works very much and intended to hang it in his office after returning home.
